Have been listening to a great deal of whingers this last week! Been on hols to Menorca, lovely! Weather good for most of week, accomodation exactly as stated in brochure. Appartments spacious with lovely balcony and sea and pool view. Very quiet resort, bus to take you wherever you fancy. Clean and jolly well fab really!
So you'd think everyone in resort would be happy, well you'd be wrong! Apparently an having Baileys, beer, wine etc. on tap all day long, is not good enough if it's not at a particular bar, if you have to walk more than a few paces for it then it's not good enough. Nor is the cloudy weather on 2 of the days, the resort reps were to blame, poor blokes! They were also responsible for it being a too quiet for some and having rubbish entertainment (Keeley did a great macarena, which the little ones loved, but that's as far as it went!).
You couldn't move for someone banging on about it being too windy, too quiet, too aimed at younger children etc. etc. etc. la la la la !!
Well for the record Santo Thomas is beautiful, small and perfectly formed. If you are looking for loud and noisy bars and clubs, with pro standard entertainment it's not for you. It's more for pre teens/ littlies and parents/ grandparents who enjoy a good swim and explore by day, good food and a bloomin good sleep without being woken by screaming mopeds and drunken twenty somethings. I don't think dad and hub on their 5th Baileys from the all inclusive bar counted!
So you bunch of miseries, read the brochures, check trip advisor/holiday watchdog etc. it's a bit like Ronseal really it does what it says on the tin! :)
